A safe, transparent way to import knitwear
Cross-border sourcing only works on trust. Here is exactly how an order with Knitelux runs — the documents, the payment structure that protects you, and how our quality grading works — so there are no surprises.
Step by step
The order & payment process
Every order follows the same documented path. You always pay the balance after the goods exist and are inspected.
- 1
Enquiry & offer
You tell us the product, quantity and target market. We confirm availability and send current photos and a per-piece price in USD.
- 2
Proforma invoice (PI)
You receive a PI with full specs, quantities, price, packing, Incoterm, our bank details and company registration — your written reference for the deal.
- 3
Deposit
Typically 30% advance by bank transfer (T/T), or an irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight. This reserves the stock or starts production.
- 4
Production / allocation
For made-to-order we knit, dye, cut, sew and finish to your approved sample. For stocklot we allocate, sort and re-pack your lot.
- 5
Inspection
Final AQL 2.5 inspection with photos and video. You may appoint a third-party inspector (SGS, Intertek) or your own agent before you pay anything further.
- 6
Balance against B/L
You pay the 70% balance only against a copy of the bill of lading (and a satisfactory inspection) — after the goods exist and are loaded.
- 7
Shipment
We ship FOB Chittagong or arrange CIF to your port, then courier the full set of export documents.
- 8
Delivery & after-sales
You clear customs with the documents provided. We stay reachable for re-orders, claims and your next stock list.
Payment
Terms that protect the buyer
30% T/T + balance against B/L
A 30% advance reserves stock or starts production; the 70% balance is paid against a copy of the bill of lading — after loading.
Irrevocable L/C at sight
For larger orders, a bank-backed letter of credit gives both sides documentary security.
Trial orders welcome
New buyer? Start small, inspect, and scale up once you trust us. We'd rather earn the second order.
Quality
Our grading system
Plain, honest definitions — the same language on every offer.
| Grade | What it means |
|---|---|
| Grade A | Export-ready first quality. No spots, holes or measurement faults. |
| Grade B | Minor faults (light marks, small irregularities). Lower price for value channels. |
| Mixed A/B | An honest blend with the approximate ratio stated up front. |
All goods are checked to AQL 2.5 as standard. You can add independent third-party inspection on any order.
Due diligence
How to verify us before you buy
We expect you to check — a real exporter has nothing to hide. Here's exactly how.
- Ask for our company registration and export licence numbers — they appear on every proforma invoice.
- Book a live video call and a real-time walkthrough of the warehouse and your specific lot.
- Appoint a third-party inspection (SGS / Intertek) and pay the balance only after it passes.
- Start with a smaller trial order to build trust before committing to large volumes.
- Use traceable bank payments to the registered company account shown on the PI — never to a personal account.
FAQ
Common buyer questions
How do I pay, and is my deposit safe?
We work on a proforma invoice. Most orders are 30% advance by bank transfer (T/T) with the 70% balance paid only against a copy of the bill of lading — so the balance is due after the goods are produced and loaded. We also accept irrevocable L/C at sight. For first orders we recommend a smaller trial plus third-party inspection before the balance.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Stocklot MOQs typically start from 300–1,000 pcs per lot; made-to-order starts from 500 pcs per style and colour. You can combine several stock lots to fill a 20ft or 40ft container.
Can I inspect the goods before paying the balance?
Yes. We share photos and video, and you can appoint a third-party inspector (e.g. SGS or Intertek) or your own buying agent. The balance is due only after a satisfactory pre-shipment inspection.
Which ports and Incoterms do you use?
We load at Chittagong (Chattogram), Bangladesh. We quote FOB by default and can arrange CIF to most ports across the Gulf, Africa, Europe and Asia.
How do I know Knitelux is a real exporter and not a scam?
We are a registered Bangladeshi company with a valid export licence — the numbers are on our documents and available on request. We will do a live video call and warehouse walkthrough, provide references, and support third-party inspection. We actively encourage first-time buyers to start small.
How long does delivery take?
Ready stock ships within about 7–10 days after the deposit clears. Made-to-order takes roughly 35–55 days from an approved sample, plus sea-freight transit time to your destination port.
